While You’re Waiting

Welcome to While You’re Waiting, a course that I created to help provide you with support and tools while you’re between sessions or waiting to get started on your wellness journey with me. This course walks you through some of the foundational topics that I believe we could all benefit from learning about to have a better relationship with ourselves!

The course is self-paced, which means you can do as many or as few modules as you’d like. But it’s originally designed to be a weekly session of 1 hour each. In order to really reflect and dig into the topic, I’d recommend setting aside time each week for a single module as you move along the program. Before we dive in, here’s a video to introduce why I created While You’re Waiting and the mission I’m on to bring accessible healthcare to all! I can’t wait to learn and grow together.

While You’re Waiting is meant to be a resource to give you support. It is in no way a replacement for therapy. If your situation is urgent or you require immediate care, please call 911, or 1-800-273-TALK.

Each module of this course will dive into an area that I believe will be a powerful way to explore where you are at today, and then how to get to where you want to be tomorrow. Below, you’ll find the modules in the order I’d recommend completing them in, but feel free to move around as you’d like. I hope you find these sessions helpful and I am so glad you’re here!

    This module is built to help you get a deeper understanding of yourself from some unique perspectives! Sometimes, it can be challenging to describe where we’re at, or what we’re like. It’s hard to evaluate ourselves! These assessments will help you peek under the hood.

    Reflecting on Your Journey

    This module is all about what brought you to this moment in time. It’s about using the data of your life to work with yourself, rather than against yourself When you get your story out in the open, you can start to see things from new perspectives. It’s out and in front of you which also means you can start to do something about any problems you see or want to solve.

    Showing compassion for you

    Module

    This module is about putting on your own oxygen mask before you help others. It’s easy to get lost in helping everyone around us to be well and thrive. But are you taking enough time to make sure YOU are well and thriving? This is a great pulse check for self-care and compassion.

  • Emotions
    Meet Your Friends

    Module

    This module will help you not only spot different emotions but learn how to partner with them! Understanding our emotions helps us to build better relationships, avoid and resolve conflicts better, and move past difficult feelings with more ease.

    Discover Your Character Strengths

    “Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.” – Aristotle When we use our strengths we are usually energized and feel at our best. This module will help you know yourself! You have so many strengths—some of which you may not even be aware of, yet! Let’s discover them.

    Communication is the foundation of almost everything! This module will help you build strong relationships and better express what you observe, think, feel, want, and are willing to do. Let’s learn about one of the most powerful skills you can have—being a great communicator!
